How much do young people use social media? (Flo, Leanne, Zsanett, Caitlin and Morgan)

Young people today are addicted to these social networking sites some people agree, some people disagree, and we are writing an article to investigate the pros and cons. We will see the views from adults to teenagers. This will show two very different opinions on the matter. Our generation shows how much we depend on social media and how it has changed in the last 20 years, some people think it is an unhealthy change but others disagree. So many people don’t even realise how much social media they use every day whether it is for work purposes or just the general networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter etc.

We interviewed quite a few different types of people and got some very different opinions, our first interviewer said that he agreed with social media to a point but he said it’s now used to an extent and people are over obsessive and post things they shouldn’t.

Our second interviewer had a completely different opinion and said that they agreed with social media and thought it was a good idea to interact with people and meet new people.

Quite a few people said that they did have social networking sites and they did use it on a daily basis but still thought that it was brainwashing younger people nowadays and didn’t like the way people put all there information on the internet for everyone to see.
Also lots of people mentioned the fact that sometimes people talk to people that they don’t know and share information with them that they shouldn’t. People have been in situations before where they have thought they have been talking to someone the same age as them but actually they are talking to someone a lot older, this can put people in a lot of danger.
